Shipyard “Pella” has participated in V International conference “Fishing in Arctic Region”

The Open JSC “Pella” representatives have taken part in the V International conference “Fishing in the Arctic Region: contemporary challenges, global best practices, perspectives”, which was held on March 14th in Murmansk.

Within a framework of the Conference the deputy general director of Open JSC “Pella” Ilya Vaisman has made a report on the experience of building at manufacturing capacities of the shipyard “Pella” of fishing vessels for fishermen operating in the Northern basin. In his speech he centered around implementation of the project for creation of a compact shipyard in Leningrad District. In 2013 the project was approved by the Chairman of Supervisory Board of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the Russian President Vladimir Putin as the project oriented to creation of specialized production capacities for serial production of resource efficient fishing vessel. In late 2016 the compact shipyard was put into operation.

Ilya Vaisman has also told about fishing vessels being built at the moment at production capacities of the Open JSC “Pella”, including those for Murmansk owners: crab catching vessel of the project 03070, medium-sized refrigerator trawler of the project 1701 – 2 units, stern trawler of the project 03095 – 4 units.

In the course of the Conference such urgent issues were addressed as renovation of productive capacities of fish industrial complex, greater access of fishery organizations to obtaining of aquatic bioresources harvesting allocations, international cooperation in the Arctic Region in a fishery field.
